Thanks for the birthday wishes 13-06-2007

Just a quick dairy in between. Especially to thank you all for all sweet birthday wishes. Unfortunately it's impossible for me to answer all requests concerning our wedding.

Again, I received lots of cards & letters for my birthday. It feels really good, thank you all very much for this!! I loved celibrating my birthday at home this time, by the way.

In the meantime we are in the last straight line to our wedding. Unless there again will be extra basketball games of course. ;-)
I got lots of requests to be able to participate the wedding on the 14th of July or the possibility to congratulate us this day. Sadly, this won't be possible. We've chosen to ceilibrate our wedding in a small and private surrounding.

There's really no need to come to Bree to come and congratulate us, or to bring presents, or whatever. Just because we want to keep it all private, it won't be possible to give us something. I would be a shame to send these things too. We have decided to donate all gifts and presents that have something to do with the wedding to charity organisations.

I hope I don't disappoint you too much, but I think you can understand that this is the only way, when we want to celibrate it [the wedding] quitely with our close family and friends. And you know: soon there will be more info about a special party for all fans!

Many thanks for the birthday wishes 16-06-2007

A rather quick note in between all the rush of the last days to thank you all for the sweet birthday wishes. Sadly enough I really cannot accept the many requests regarding our marriage.

I have got quite some nice cards and leeters for my birthday, which pleases me a lot. Many thanks for that! I also enjoyed the fact of being able to celebrate my birthday at home for once.

Meanwhile we're in the last days before the wedding, unless there will be some unexpected basket ball matches of course. ;-) I received quite a lot of requests whether or not you would be able to be there with us on 14 July to come and congratulate us. I'm afraid that won't work as we have chosen to celebrate this with a few friends only and to keep this all strictly private.

Therefore, please do not come all the way to Bree with wishes or presents. Just because we keep this so much a private thing, there will be no one to hand the gifts to us. And it also seems a waste to send them via mail. Any presents we receive will be donated to charity anyway.

I sure hope I'm not disappointing you all too much, but I hope you understand that we simply want to celebrate this special day with close relatives and close friends only. And you know: soon more news about a special celebration for all the fans!

Already a quick thank you 11-07-2007

Another quick message between all the preparations for the wedding. Also because when the party settled down, you won't hear from me for a while.

I can only thank you a lot for the more than thousand letters with congratulations delivered here already. As I can't see any of you on Saturday, I can assure you this really helps making up for that.

I'll be sure to send you a picture from the wedding in the weeks after the marriage. But don't worry as this might take some time: after the wedding we will rest a little and then head for the US, so you won't hear from me or see me for a while. Also, now that I'm pregnant I'll have to take it easy more often. But as soon as we're back from America, I'll let you know how we are, Brian, me and the baby!

The wedding party was fantastic! Quite emotional at times as well. Everybody has been able to party all the way and everything has gone according to plan. There have been quite some letters and presents from the fans as well, some of them for the pregnancy already. Many thanks for that!

We nearly opened all the letters in the meantime. We'll be having a card ready soon with the wedding picture and we'll send it to all those who have sent a letter. We might have plenty of things to do before we leave for America ...

In September there will be a book with the most remarkable letters from fans I have ever received. Shortly thereafter we'll host the day for the fans, we're still working on it. As soon as the event is more or less scheduled, we'll let you know about the details.

For the time being me and the baby are doing great. I'm easily tired now, which is quite easy to understand. True, the urge for specific food might sound odd, but that is about it ;-)

I also try to keep fit by running, cycling, mountain biking, some gym. All for fun now, without trying it to fit in some schedule or without thinking what is right or wrong. I now can join Brian for longer runs now, I'll have to as he starts training again on 10 August! By that time our holidays in the States will be over.
